Jason Straw | Sheriff

Jason has served as a combat medic in the US Army, the Indiana National Guard, and
then in the US Air Force, deploying twice to Afghanistan. Jason’s priorities as Sheriff
would be addressing the opioid crisis on a local basis, with emphasis on prevention and education on the root causes of addiction; school safety planning; and facilitating community involvement by the Sheriff’s office. @SheriffStraw

Karin Anderson | Coroner

Karin is committed to the dignified treatment of all deceased within the county and sensitivity to each person’s religious or cultural background. She also wants to ensure that scientific rigor is followed in death investigations, and that data on county death statistics is collected and shared across institutional lines to address root causes. https://karin4coroner.weebly.com/

Cathy Sutton | County Clerk

Using her experience with technological upgrades in libraries, Cathy wants to aggressively continue efforts to modernize the Clerk’s office, streamline the performance of official duties and save money for the citizens of Hamilton County. As Clerk, Cathy plans to donate the part of her salary that exceeds the median teacher income.

Rosemary Dunkle | County Commissioner | District 1

As County Commissioner in District 1, Rosemary is committed to ensuring transparency in government. She believes that all citizen input should be heard prior to decisions being made and that officials who accept campaign contributions from vendors should recuse themselves from decisions involving those vendors. @DunkleforCommissioner

Jeremy Eltz | County Council | District 1

After beginning his career as a research technician in microbiology at IUPUI, Jeremy taught middle school science followed by a career in public service focused on STEM education. As a county council member, Jeremy will be committed to be a voice for all Hamilton County residents, encourage transparency in government and work towards future program growth while meeting urgent community needs. www.electeltz.com

Jeremy Hawk | County Council | District 3

As a member of the county council, Jeremy will put his financial experience to work to improve the lives of Hamilton County residents through responsible money management. Jeremy believes that all taxpayers are entitled to transparent government. If elected, he is committed to ensuring that all residents have access to the services they need to succeed and to reducing council member salaries. @HawkforHCC
