Volunteers are needed to staff the Hamilton County Democratic Party booth at Carmelfest. The festival takes place this year on Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5. February 19, 2010 Hamilton County Democrats to Hold Senate Straw Poll
Hamilton County Democrats will hold a straw poll to gauge what candidate would be the strongest to fill the US Senate seat vacancy left by the retirement of Sen. Evan Bayh. The straw poll will take place during the party's central committee meeting on Saturday, February 20. The results will be published on the party's website.

Hamilton County Chair, Keith Clock, has called for David Wyser to withdraw his candidacy for Hamilton County Prosecutor. Despite concerns Wyser has violated the US Hatch Act, the fact that he has accepted financial support from Tim Durham and Marcus Schrenker, and now coming to light that he accepted campaign money from the wealthy father of a convicted murder whose jail term he agreed to reduce...Hamilton County Republicans are rallying around him. What are your first thoughts when you hear the
name Dan Burton? If you're like most, they are not positive thoughts or
reflections of an individual that represents you well in Congress. In past
elections, the Democratic Party candidate has not fared well in competing
against Rep. Burton and his power of incumbency. However, this year is
different. This year we have the opportunity to nominate and elect a viable
candidate who we can all be proud of.
November 30, 2009 McKenna for Secretary of State Announcement Event
Join us as Hamilton County's own, Tom McKenna, formally announces his candidacy for Indiana Secretary of State.
Tom has toured the state this summer and fall gauging support for his campaign. The response from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive to Tom's extensive experience and message of keeping the right to vote accessible to all registered voters.
Tom has now decided that he is going to officially file to be a candidate for Secretary of State. As part of his announcement Tom will be making several stops throughout the state. This Thursday, on December 3 at 9:00a, Tom will have an announcement event at our county party's headquarters at 802 Mulberry Street in Noblesville.
October 15, 2009 Party Reacts to Brainard's State of the City Address
Carmel Mayor, Jim Brainard, gave his annual State of the City address yesterday to the Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Despite numerous failed city projects draining the city's budget, Brainard painted a rosy financial picture. Democratic Party Chair, Keith Clock, responded that the Mayor and his City Council are responsible for poor planning and over the top city projects that will put a financial strain on the city and it's taxpayers for years.
